Patient’s Satisfaction And Response Towards Medical Staff In Public Hospitals
Abstract
This paper aims to investigatepatient’s response towards medical staff in public hospitals.
The study was conducted in Khyber Teaching Hospital, Peshawar. The study was
quantitative in nature and structured interview was used as a tool of data collection for
collecting information from the sample size of 384 respondents selected through proportional
allocation method. The study revealed a highly significant association (P≤0.05)of patient’s
response and satisfaction with availability of the nursing and paramedic staff, approach to
the nursing and paramedic staff, assistance given by the nursing and paramedic staff, and
behavior of the nursing and paramedic staff. Number of the doctors and Nursing staff should
be increased in the OPD, wards, Accident and Emergency department and the concerned
authority must take serious measures to ensure highly qualified and senior Doctors’ presence
at evening and night shifts were some of the recommendations forwarded in the light of study
findings.
